PROFIL
Over the past 30 years, Jean-Pierre Lamer has made a name for himself as a residential, hotel, and commercial architect. He collaborated on the design of the prestigious Hôtels Germain while he worked for one of the most renowned firms in the hotel business. He later worked for the Montréal-based firm Yelle Maillé where he was entrusted with the design of various commercial spaces as well as the redevelopment and expansion of several schools. He was also involved with numerous hospital projects, including the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).

Jean-Pierre Lamer is known for his ability to deal with significant programmatic and technical challenges. He gets involved as project manager from the earliest stages of an assignment and stays on until completion. His responsibilities include supervising the design team, drafting contractual documents as well as managing budgets and schedules. He is also in charge of ensuring the smooth running of construction sites. His intimate involvement with all aspects of a project have earned him the trust of his clients.

Jean-Pierre has developed a highly valued expertise in terms of mitigation measures and phasing. Many institutional projects he has worked on have implied building in various phases due to partial occupation by users. Jean-Pierre Lamer was able to manage these uneasy situations in a tactful and effective manner, providing users who had to remain in place during construction with safe conditions and relative calm.
